- 25% tariffs on Canada and Mexico (America's closest neighbors)
- 25% tariffs on all foreign-made automobiles
These tariffs have triggered retaliatory actions from global partners and are disrupting international trade relationships that took decades to build.
Aggressive Stance Against Canada and Greenland
Beyond the punitive tariffs, the Trump administration has taken an unprecedented aggressive stance against Canada, implementing:
- Border restrictions affecting the flow of goods and services
- Hostile rhetoric questioning Canada's sovereignty over key territories
- Threats to Canadian industries with additional sanctions
The administration has also made concerning territorial claims regarding Greenland, destabilizing diplomatic relations with Denmark and threatening Arctic cooperation that has been peaceful for generations.
These actions represent a dangerous shift in U.S. foreign policy toward its northern neighbors and allies, undermining decades of peaceful cooperation and mutual respect.
Environmental Destruction
The Trump administration has taken alarming steps to roll back environmental protections:
- Withdrawing from the Paris Climate Agreement for a second time
- Appointing oil, gas, and chemical lobbyists to key environmental positions
- Expanding drilling and mining on public lands
- Recklessly releasing 2.2 billion gallons of water from California reservoirs in January 2025, which nearly caused flooding in downstream communities
- Dismantling offices working to end pollution
- Freezing climate-related funds and falsely conflating them with the "Green New Deal"
Internal memos revealed that the administration knew their water release order would waste California's water resources during a critical time.
Anti-LGBTQ+ Policies
The Trump administration has implemented numerous policies targeting LGBTQ+ individuals:
- Executive orders declaring "there are only two genders, male and female" as official U.S. government policy
- Banning transgender individuals from military service
- Threatening to cut federal funding from medical institutions that provide gender-affirming care
- Threatening schools that recognize gender transitions or use preferred pronouns
- Removing protections for LGBTQ+ individuals in multiple federal agencies
- Removing mentions of transgender individuals from government websites
- Dismissing gender identity discrimination cases through the EEOC
These policies have prompted several European countries to issue travel advisories warning LGBTQ+ travelers about visiting the United States.
As a business operating outside the United States, we cannot continue to provide our services to American customers while the Trump administration pursues policies that directly harm our business, employees, global commerce, the environment, and vulnerable communities.
